1. Trim the Stems: Use sharp scissors to cut 2 cm of the stems at a 45- degree angle before putting flowers in the water. A fresh cut helps the flowers absorb water more effectively and live much longer.

2. Remove Extra Foliage: Choose a clean vase and fill it with cold fresh water. Remove any leaves that will be submerged in water. Foliage can promote bacterial growth, which may shorten the flowers’ lifespan.

3. Add Flower Food: Add flower food to the water, it provides essential nutrients and helps prevent bacteria.

4. Change the Water: Change the water every 2-3 days to keep it clean. Before changing, re-trim the stems and clean the vase thoroughly.

5. Avoid Direct Sunlight and Drafts: Place the bouquet in a cool spot away from direct sunlight and drafts. High temperatures can accelerate wilting. Keep flowers away from fruits, they emit ethylene.

6. Remove Wilted Flowers: Regularly remove any wilted or dead flowers. This prevents the production of ethylene gas, which can adversely affect other flowers.
